Popular Asain Desserts, pastries, and beverages?

Can anyone tell me what some very popular asian desserts, pastries, and beverages are? When you crave an asian dessert,pastry, beverage (preferrably non-alcoholic), what is it? Its for a class project where I have to write up a menu for a potential international bakery.

  1. theres this desert called ras gulla. its indian and its essentially crumbly sweet balls in sweetened milk with almonds. also there is kulfi, which is indian ice cream, i think the most common is gulab jamun, it is balls of dough-like stuff in sugar syrup. so ya. hope i helped.

    but we also like dduk..which is a sweet stickey rice cake

    Gulab Jamun (fried sweet cheese balls in in rose syrup)

    Rasgulla (cheese balls in syrup)

    Ras malai(cheese balls in milk)

    Gajar ka Halwa (carrot and milk pudding with cashews and raisins)

    Kulfi (yummy ice cream)

    Lassi(yogurt drink)

    Thai:

    Sticky rice and mango

    Fried Banana

    Japan:

    Mochi

    Stuff filled with red bean paste

    Rice cakes

  4. As a Japanese girl, my favorite desserts are green tea ice cream, daifuku, sugared sweet potatoes (Daigakuimo) and of course, bubble tea to wash it all down

  6. Best drink is a lassi, bit like a smoothie and has fruit in sometimes.  There are sweet donuts for dessert or you could always cheat and have baklava which is lovely, sweet filo with honey and nuts but this is more morroccan really.
