Chick Hearn

Chick Hearn is a big name not only in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers but also the NBA. Chick Hearn is one of the legends in the NBA in the department of broadcasting.
Hearn’s voice rocked the Los Angeles fans for many years and the legendary broadcaster was only the third of his kind to be inducted into the illustrious Hall of Fame in 1991.
His voice commented on the Los Angeles Lakers for decades. The Los Angeles Lakers might have come across a lot of ups and downs but his voice continued. After he
left, a big hole was left behind, one that can never be replaced. He was one of those people who was cherished and adored not only by the Los Angeles Lakers fans but fans from all across the NBA world.
Hearn died on the 5th of August 2002 and with his death, the NBA and the Los Angeles Lakers lost one of their finest voices. He was rewarded with a lot
of awards during and after his lifetime
George Mikan

George Mikan is one of those players who are widely known for introducing the aspect of physicality in the game. George Mikan liked to play hard and his undying desire
to win made him one of the most feared competitors of his time.
Numerically, he led the league three times for committing the most fouls during the course of a single season. Though there were players of his physic during his
era but they wouldn’t indulge in such physical battles. George Mikan on the other hand, was one player who wasn’t afraid to attack the ball. His main aim was to win the ball which he did most of the times.
Mikan’s physical approach introduced a new style of play in the NBA. With the beast frame that he had, Mikan dominated games during the course of his career. He is
still widely loved among the Los Angeles Lakers fans for his revival of basketball and mostly for being a Los Angeles Lakers player to do that.
Pat Riley

Pat Riley is another genius head coach, who once adorned the colours of the Los Angeles Lakers. He was the man who took the Los Angeles Lakers to new heights and
transformed them into a genuine championship contender. It was during his reign, that the Lakers started to regularly bag the Championships, and got ever so close to the Boston Celtics in the race for most titles.
Pat Riley changed the strategies and unlike other coaches he changed their playing style which brought the best out of every player in the Los Angeles Lakers squad.
The result was championships for the Los Angeles Lakers and a lot of praise from the NBA and Lakers fans alike.
