  1. It probably never will.  It could get that high but it would probably eliminate all wild places except for parks.  All the resources of the Earth would have to be managed to support that population and the standard of living wouldn't be very good.

  2. the exact date to perdict the 100billionth baby born is hard to say, when seeing on the year 1800, there was a total of 1 billion people.

but, if you were to pay attention in our society(not trying to sound mean/or rude) there is much concern of overpopulation today. the world can onl hold so many people, being able to supply food, and a place to live. As of today, i'm pretty sure we are over the maximum occupancy of our world. It has been theroized by a scientist(name slipped my mind) that we will superscede the worlds maximum occupancy, and die.

    But you never know....

  3. the population can be drawn as 'EXPONENTIAL GRAPH'. Look this up google so u get idea how the population increases.

Its hard to get population of 100 billion because there will always be disasters and stuff... so i guess it wont really have any effect. just means less room for us to roam around. there shudn't be any other effects...

  4. I used to major in biology before switching to finance, and current scientists estimate with our current economic parameters the world's population will max out around 10 billion at some point during our lifetimes.

  5. Assuming that the current population is 6 billion people and that the population growth rate is 1.4% annualized, it will take approximately 201 years to reach 100 billion.

  6. Ha it wont ever reach that....Look what the Spanish Influenza did back in 1914 I think.

  7. I don't think can even hold 12 times more people. It probably would take a 1,000 years.

  8. "When" that happens, each person will have about 250 square meters of dry land to stand on. (That includes the Sahara Desert, Antarctica, and the Himalayas.)

    Not bloody likely.

  9. Hey! Pretty good question I'd say...but I guess that's not really the question. I've thought of that before myself.Which logical thinking person hasn't?

When is the world gonna get so populated that we're strangled for just the slightest of breath? We ourselves may never know.

But I can say that if it WERE to reach such critical levels as that then 'if we don't change our ways by then'

(here it comes you knew it would happen  didn't you?)<

we're in some deep **** my friend.

I'm no hypocrite I mean so far I've

changed my light bulbs to florescent,

my car gets much more gas mileage after switching from diesel,

I turn off my electonics when not using them, take shorter showers,

    I've got myself  compost pile,

    I recycle etc.

They're all semi-simple thing you see.                                         Anyone with effort could so easily do these things. Reduce C02 emissions.                                                                                   The questions not what will happen if we hit the target 100 bil.                                                                                                But what the heck can we do on the rise up the ladder.                                                                                             I mean seriously we ARE a part in that 6 billion.                       Not many people see that obvious statement.                                                                                       - Your friend,

                                                                                                        The Semi Treehugger Hippie.

    P.S

    Good luck =)

  10. If one is not mentally retarded or brain dead, then it is obvious that a 100 billion people cannot survive on earth at the same time. We will all die either from war, food scarcity or other piece of ****!!!!!!

  11. We're at 6.8 billion, and I believe the world can't support safely more than 10 billion. Famine, disease, pollution, changing climate over the next 50 years will create a ceiling that more people cannot breach. The best solution now is to decide not to have children. Take care of the ones that are here, and scorn the people who flout the rules.
