Por y para...which is this?

I was looking for a language forum, but I don't think there is one. I figured I'd just try Spain. :)

This one I just don't know:

La cancion es _____ Estela, la novia de Eduardo. Ella la escribio (sorry about the absence of accent marks).

Is the sentence saying that the song is for Estela, Eduardo's girlfriend. She wrote it. ? I'm just not getting that one. At first I thought it meant that he wrote it for her, but it doesn't... unless I'm missing something. Is it por or para? And what is it saying?

It is definitely 'por', and - Ellie the second sentence makes perfect sense!

La canción es por Estela, la novia de Eduardo.  Ella la escribió.

The song is by Estela, the fiancée of Eduardo.  She wrote it.

It is Por, and I think you are right the last half though does not make sense unless ella is supposed to el.

It´s por...by... and there IS a language forum, where you'll get lots of experts (and a few trolls, but what can you do?)

Go to Society...then languages.  It's the best place for language help.
