Ok I know i'm not the only one who has a man that watches p**n c**p on the internet-I dont care that he does, but the problem is that our computer is super slow now, when it used to be lightning fast.

It freezes up.

It doesnt shut down completely anymore.

And it takes forever to do anything on it.

And I honestly think it was from watching those p**n trailers-heh

We have norton virus protection and spyware protection too, do i just need to take it to some kind of place where they clean out your computer for $50??

  1. Hi there...

I have suggested you a software named REVEAL. Its absolutely free. I am sure it will cure your problem. Please download it from following link.

    Thanks & Regards..

  2. I say either get AVG Anti-Virus or go to the place where you can clean out ur comp. Hope this helps!

  3. Usually they overcharge for any computer cleaning. My advice is to by "Kaspersky Abti-Virus" and DELETE Norton Anti-virus, Norton does MORE harm than good and uses up too much memory on your computer which inturn could be a big factor in your computer's slowness.

If you cant afford the program, download "AVG Antivirus" Save the 50 bucks and download AVG NOW!

  4. stop looking at p**n, clean out the computer, then clean out your man's mind, then clean out his life.

  5. prob...my fiancee looks at p**n too and our comp just crashed..im blaming it on those p**n websites. i warned him and now we have no computer! you should block those sites. have him rent movies instead.

  7. WELLLLLLLLL if its rly that bad

you can always just use a recovery cd and clean the whole thing and wipe everything out... itll make your computer brand new again.. kind of

  8. It's not the p**n alone, but the pop-ups associated with those sites that embed into your system/that's ruined your PC.. that pop-up everytime "your man" surfs for pics/vids hour after hour with one hand. (There's free virus-scanning websites.. here's the one most MIS people use, and it's FREE: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)

There's really nothing you can do to get all these worms, spams, cookies, virusus out completely.. because the makes of these annoying things know full well how to make them stick vs. Norton etc. protection (and those devices add their OWN annoyances to your PC, too, which you will soon see).

If it's THAT bad, yes, you may need a total re-boot of your hard drive -- meaning back-up your files/pics (legitimate ones) and then, of course, either get a new PC every few years, or get a new man. Maybe one that's a little better adjusted with his adult life.

PS -- I'm not passing judgment of holier-than-thou in the least.. but, it's healthier for you to BLAME the guy, since you've got a headache on your hands, and for what? really?.. He shouldn't be doing that on YOUR PC.. that's not right. (It's pretty co-dependent of you NOT to blame the guy.. really.. and wait until you see all the cookies he couldn't erase -- and cope with the stuff that he's actually spending all that time seeing, believe me I know.. you'd really, really have a better idea of what you're living with, if you did.) HE IS going to lose it a little -- when he realizes that you can sit besides these PC geeks wherever you take it, for fun etc. and scan over the weblinks of the p**n (for dates, and click on these pages). He's going to as exposed to these geeks and YOU -- like a pink pig on a hot day at the beach. Uncomfortable, for sure.

  9. That happened to my "sister" too. Have you done a scan of your computer. She has macafee and did a scan a few weeks ago(after having the same problem) and found trojans and worms and junk. After the program finished scanning everything was back to normal.

  10. You really shouldn't blame it on him when you obviously watch it too.  Any good "friend" who works on computers is always better and cheaper than taking it somewhere, even the nerdy it guy at work will help you out.  But remember, whoever it is, even a reputable place, they will look through all your files and copy your nudy pics for their own evil deeds.

  11. This isnt a quick fix but it should help a lot., get (Cleanup) handy little tool and its free and run it., next get superantispyware free edition, download, update, and do an in depth scan in safe mode, its great at finding trojans and other c**p, It should help a lot, Good luck.

  12. you're probably part of a bot net.

Internet p**n? you've got to be kidding me. You really need to start caring about what your man does.

Basically, you have a lot of very serious problems.

Start by deleting browser cache, cookies, temp internet files. Then get a good antivirus and update and run it several times. Once done with that, locate some good worm/trojan/spyware detection software and run that several times.

Your computer will likely start to speed back up

Now goto your control panel and click on the "add or remove programs" button and start uninstalling anything in the way of a game, anything in the way of a toolbar (only idiots use toolbars) - basicaly anything that didnt come with the computer.

Personally, I would burn a backup of my docs and would then just wipe the pc and reinstall everything. Chances are that neither you or your boyfriend are capable of doing that considering you're on Y!A asking this question.

maybe Best Buy and fix you for about $80. Call them (Geek Squad)

Now, in the future, your boyfriend needs to stop watching internet p**n. If he wants to watch p**n, make him goto the store and buy movies.

  13. If you know how to, clean it up yourself. Run the Norton anti virus, and if there are any bugs in your computer that shouldn't be there, this program will detect them. Then you can delete them. Also, you can do a disk cleanup and hard drive cleanup, which can be found in the control panel of your computer. This should free up some more space on your hard drive and make your computer run faster! hope this helps!

  14. Yes, viewing p**n sites can deposit bad files on you PC &

you have alot of bad registry entries and probably lots of spyware that your protection is not detecting, make sure you have all norton updates, and try more than one spy detector, (adaware spybot etc) computer associates makes a good suite of protection too You can send it out to be cleaned, but why bother with the extra cost when you should be able to resolve by yourself...

  15. If you suspect you have an infection, there are several things you must do.  Unfortunately, if you find one infection, it is highly likely you have another one. A virus, trojan or worm are all different types of infections/malware and there are some great FREE programs that can help you.

And - it certainly sounds like you have been infected with some kind of malware.

First, clean up (delete) your cookies, temp files and temporary internet files. I prefer to use Ccleaner (available at www.filehippo.com) to do this, rather than the built-in DISK CLEANUP. If you want to use Disk Cleanup, you can find it if you:

    - Double-Click on My Computer to open it up

    - RIGHT-click on your C: drive

    - Choose PROPERTIES and then click on the DISK CLEANUP button

    - When done, reboot your computer.

Delete these files daily or run Ccleaner every day right before you shut your computer down.

2 - You should also have a good anti-virus program to help protect your computer. AVG FREE is an excellent anti-virus program, which can be downloaded from  www.download.com.  You might also choose Avast or Avira, both also free programs from www.download.com.

3 -Since NONE of the anti-spyware/anti-adware programs are 100% accurate in finding and removing spyware, you need at least two programs which you will run one after the other, not at the same time.

There are three excellent free ones:

    --Spybot, Search and Destroy

    --Ad-Aware

    --Spyware Blaster

All are available FREE from www.download.com

You will need to download, install, update (and IMMUNIZE in Spybot) and run them, one at a time. Be careful with the NAME of these programs - there are "look-alikes" with very similar names, that are in fact spyware themselves! Reboot after you install each one!

After this current infection is cleared up, be sure to run both of the above programs at least once a week if you are on the internet frequently and/or like to download music or files.

NOTE: Some infections prevent your from downloading the above programs. You may have to use a clean computer to download the programs and copy them to a thumb drive or CD. Then transfer the install files to the infected computer and run.

--Occasionally you will not be able to run these programs without being in SAFE MODE.  To get there, reboot your computer and tap the F8 key, repeatedly until a menu comes up.  You want to choose SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING.

4 -You should also have a good firewall to help protect your computer. Zone Alarm makes a totally free version (watch you don't download the 30-day free trial of the paid version). You can download this from the manufacturer at www.zonelabs.com <>http://www.zonelabs.com>

    HTH : )

    Good luck!

  16. you're probably right, most of the people that i hear complain about viruses on the computer, or the computer acting in an abnormal way look at a lot of p**n.  i'm not going to say that there has never ever been anything like that on my computer, but there hasn't been much on my computer, and i have had very little problem with viruses, i think i had 1. i had 4 or 5 spyware attachments, but this is in probably 10 years with 4 different computers.  i just had mine cleaned out at a local staples for $50.00, it was fast and worth the money.

  17. A lot of p**n sites have viruses, spy ware, and ad ware thats gets on your computer when you go to the site. I would recommend doing a virus scan on your pc. Then you should get some spy ware and ad ware removal programs. That should help some.

  18. Just delete everything you dont know. Turn on norton. Scan heavily. Delete everything.
