Ok so its been like all summer break ive been trying to learn to port forward off and on. Since july 06 ive failed to get ports forwarded. I used to have just an linksys modem and it kept all the ports where I could play online games.

This is what ive done...

I go to start.

I click run...

I type in CMD or Command.

I type in ipconfig/all

I log into my router (CG814WGv2) by 192.168.0.1.

I go to Port Forward.

I type in the name of my game im trying to forward for (GunZ).

I type in the port range (7700-7800).

I type in the last numbers of my local IP address (Im on a static IP now but alot of guides said CG814WGv2 requires a static IP, It didnt work on dynamic either)

I click apply and the ports arent forwarded. I tried alot of scanners they also say the ports are not forwarded.

I heard UPnP is automatically disabled and I need it to be enabled. I went and click to turn on UPnP. I accidently double clicked and it restarted my router (dont know if its supposed to)

  1. Certification-http://ccietutorials.com/

  2. Try on the manufactor's homepage to get an update firmware to your router.

I have the same problem with another router in France. It's just that it doesn't work to forward some ports on the router. Have been talking to the company and they just refuse to help. If i want i have to buy a newer router from them.

Hope you will have any luck.
