Port forwarding without a router?

I have a setup in our house where we have a usb modem connected to computer A and a peer to peer network between computer A and computer B and internet connection sharing is enabled on computer A. This has worked fine until recently when i needed to use port forwarding to allow camstreams.com to connect to computer B externally. I know how to do this with a router but cannot figgure out how to simulate a router with computer A on our network!!!

Any help much appriciated, if i havent explained well enough let me know too please!

  1. this might not work properly or not possible.

Just use a router. It can be dome easily ;)

  2. This should work. Goto network connections, right click on your local area connection that is shared and click properties. Click the advanced tab and allow other users to connect through this connection should be checked. You should see a Settings button below that, click that and that brings up a list of services allowed on net. You should be able to add the service and ports required and have them sent to the correct machine. If you can do it with a router, you should know what to do from here. Let me know how it works, because I haven't tried it.

  3. You can NOT. The machine is simply using the inbuilt connection sharing of Windows. You can not turn it into a router. If you were running a server it would be possible, provided you had the appropriate services installed.
