Portable ac?

Question

ok, well my room has no windows that lead outdoors. its get really hot it there. i was thinking about getting a portable ac. i know that it needs to be vented. i have a glass panel above my door that leads to the hallway. would it be ok it if i cut the glass panel and vented the ac into the hallway?

The new portable AC units do not need to be vented.I have one in my office and it works great.

What matereial of your ceiling ? I think AC cassete type is better and put on the ceiling.

you can buy portable AC that are free standing and don't need to be vented out , they just stand on the floor.

Even though portable air conditioners are convenient and offer more than just portable cooling, the main disadvantage is that they are much more expensive and really don't work as well overall as window air conditioners.

You will need a place to run the drain (bucket, tub, sink, window) and a window to exhaust the heat.
