  1. Portables?  If you mean portable class rooms because of room problems or construction.  They work.  A bit inconvenient but the kids get used to them.

My daughter is in portables this year because of some remodeling at her school...So far not too many problems

  2. I think portables are just fine. They're usually reasonably sized and close enough to the school so that if a student or teacher needs to reach the school building itself it is not difficult to access. Many portables now, especially new ones, have air conditioning while the school building itself doesn't. Why do you want to know?

    XOXO,

    Laurie

  3. Strange. Who would ask a question like this? Weirdo...

  4. Not good. They are not permanent structures. District 41 has to use them cuz a referendum to build additional structures on the schools didn't pass. Luckily this year I don't have to take classes in one.

  5. They are frequently necessary due to overcrowding and the cost or delay in providing new buildings. Some school systems also lease space.

Portables are not great but most are mot terrible. I would not want my child in a portable classroom if it could be avoided.
