  1. Thats funny because i am thinking of going too. Me my husband and three children .  Cant seem to find one though. We would like to go around the 10 th august. Did you not find it hard to find accommodation for your family size. .  Have you any ideas.

  2. just type in portaventura it brings up a nice site with all the info, and maps of the site you will need ,im going in may next year it will be our 1st time too , if you want to mail me  with your views after you've been id apprieciate it, have a good holiday

  3. can u email me because i am going there 16th sept for two weeks with my family thanks

  4. Fantastic day out for adult and kids alike.  If you're going during the high season the queues can be really long for some of the rides, however express passes are available.  I don't know how much they are though but you could check out their website for this information.  Take sun block with you to protect the kids as not many shady places.  Lots of the rides have height restrictions of 140cm, mainly the larger rides, however plenty of rides for the little ones also.  You may find some offers in the resort of Salou for money off your entrance tickets.  When I went in May vouchers were on bottles of Coke in bars, if you collected 10 then it was one ticket free per one paying adult, I don't know if this offer has finished now but worth asking around!

  5. best thing about salou, its a wonderful place, esp for kids and families. u will have a fab time ther, maybpack some food snacks and lots to drink, cos when i was there, we went early in morn and stayed til midnight, (midnight show is fab- maybe too late to stay though with young kids), and food is v v expensive and not v filling, we found ourselves stopping several times for bits and pieces cos never filled up

    enjoy !

  6. We have been to portaventura, there was four of us who went and we stayed in the portaventura hotel itself, it was fantastic right on the door step to the theme park and the water park.  We went b4 the 15th of june so we had full access to both parks, if you go after the 15th of june you only get one day acess a week to the water park but full access to the theme park.  It was a 15 minute walk down to salou and the beach.

There are hundreds of shops selling some very nice items, not many sell tat.  The beach gets very busy on sat and sunday so avoid if you can...

The hotel has great entertainment in the evening for the kids although it did start quite late.  9pm is when it starts but the kids seem to love it and managed to stay up..

There are characters all over, not too many.  The charachters we there every morning at breakfast to take pictures...  The food was great so much to choose from, I was worried that my kids wouldn't eat anything but not a problem there...  I suggest you get down for breakfast early because the main resteraunt get full very quicky and they send you to the overspill resteraunt which isn't as good as the main one..

The private beach club was the best for us, as we have 2 small children it was hard keeping track of them but at the private beach club in the last pool which was sand bottomed with sunbeds everywhere was great didn't worry about where they were could see them all the time and we had a choice of 6 more pool there but the kids loved the sand one..  Also access to the beach if you wanted to but we only went there once didn't like it too much, get charged for sun beds...

I have reccomended it to loads of my mates and 2 of them have already booked to go there.

It's worth staying at the resort hotel as it is all on your doorstep, if you go a little cheaper and stay at the carribe it is a 10 minute treck up to the theme park.. but you still get the same deal as the main resort.  The El Paso Hotel isn't in sight wasn't sure where it was and you don't get access to the private beach club with that hotel..

Overall we had a super, fantastic time and the kids want to go back now..  Half board would be the best way...

The weather was just right when we went, not overly hot for the little ones, I would have liked it a bit hotter but it was just right for them..  I know it's baking there now so if you are heading off soon happy holidays....

  7. Yes it is fantastic email me at JoePMullett@hotmail.co.uk for any infomation regarding portaventura

  8. Portaventura is gorgeous, i'm 100 % sure that you can go there as a family, good choise!!

  9. we went there last year as a family, the theme park is amazing but the waterpark is a huge letdown,,, if your staying in the portaventura hotel or apartments everything you need is close by as we stayed a bit away in salou getting to and from places was a huge hassle especially if you have young kids(our youngest being 4!). The one bad thing about the theme park is the price of food and drinks, so eat at the restaurant if possible. One thing you cant miss while over there is the night show(in the theme park itself), which is at 12 o' clock every night, this was by far the highlight of the trip.

As we had young adults with us they enjoyed the nightclubs especially pacha and pachito!! very cheap and such good fun for teenagers,

  10. hi.i ave been to port adventure twice each time with a 2week pass, which is well worth the money and i am currently going again in October.I would recommend either getting a 3 day,1 week or 2 week pass as 1 day isn't enough to see the whole park as its absolutely gigantic and has so much to do ranging from train n boat rides all round the theme park which has 4 different lands to the amazing rides and fantastic shows (all shows are not to be missed).

They're is something for every age but not alot for your youngest.my wee girl was 3 n ahlf when we went last year and was just the right height to get on the majority of the rides she wanted to go on,although this was good as she could get on the big water rides and minnie rollarcoasters.

If you could i would aslo recommend the firework display which runs every saturday at midnight although this might be a bitt late.

WHAT MONTH ARE U GOING? i went in the month of september and theyre was absolutely no queues whatssoever.

Rides not to be missed: temple del fuego, dragon kkan, hurraconda and thounsands more.trust me i would go here all the time if i could BRILL and well worth the money.I hope this helps a little bitt.

    Have a very good time.

P.s u can get family potraits done in the wild west part in old country clothes for about 20 euros.Well worth it.x
