Ported or enclosed enclosure?

i putting in a single 15 in a 1994 corolla. what kind of enclosure you guys recommend for that kind of car enclosed or ported. its a cvr im using by the way?

  1. ported ALWAYS go with a ported box it gives a cleaner harder hitting bass


  2. a properly build and tuned ported enclosure will ALWAYS out perfome a sealed one....not a best buy prefab or some Q-logic c**p...a properly made and tuned one. people that say a sealed box hits tighter more accurately and has a flatter response never heard a properly made and  tuned ported box.

  3. Depends on what kind of bass you're looking for.  Ported enclosures will hit harder, particularly at or around the frequency the enclosure is tuned to.  The disadvantage is a ported enclousre will not be as accurate as a sealed enclosure.  A sealed enclosure will offer tighter, more accurate bass ... throughout all frequencies the sub is able to play at.  

    So the answer depends on what you're looking for, really ...
