I have it on very reliable information that Portland is is an especially woo-woo friendly city, so there should be plenty of psychics and mediums there.

Are they any good?  Good at what, telling the future or speaking with the dead?  How would you know if they are any good?  The dead can't verify anything the medium says.  Well, can they tell the future then?  If they make very specific predictions then they can be tested.  However, most psychics I've seen make very general guesses so the only person who can vouch for the accuracy of the reading is the person who believes in and has a vested interest in its accuracy--you.

There are probably psychics in both.

What do you mean by good psychics?

If you mean good at convincing you that they are devining knowledge from some other source, most can do that with practice. If you mean actual psychics, you will have to search in comic books, because so far none have come forth in the real world with the ability to prove themselves.
