While talking to reporters, the youngster said that Paris Saint-Germain were wasteful on several occasions and they didn’t take their chances. The Frenchman added that the Ile giants were far from their best and their opponents completely dominated the game.
Expressing his frustration at PSG’s unconvincing showing in Portugal, Sakho said that it’s very disappointing for everyone at the club as Paris Saint-Germain wanted to win the game, to top the group.
“We didn't create many chances and Porto played very well; they were more determined than us and we're very disappointed because we wanted to produce a big game tonight.”
Despite the defeat, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mamadou-Sakho-c23293 is remaining upbeat about his side’s chances of progressing through the next round.
The highly-rated centre-back said that there are still few games to come and PSG need to recover and get back to winning ways as early as possible.
Paris Saint-Germain are set to face arch-rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127, in their next league game, and Sakho is looking forward to getting all three points from that game.
“But it's nothing dramatic because we still have a lot of games to come. Now we need to recover and be ready mentally to take on Marseille.”
The Frenchman knows that the clash against the league leaders would be the toughest of the campaign, but is confident of getting a positive result.
