Porto versus Villarreal – Second half review: Europa League (Part 2)
Following their bright start to the second half, Porto scored two early goals and then added their third in the 67st minute against Villarreal in the first leg of their Europa League semifinal.
This time it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 who scored his second goal of the night as Porto took a 3-1 lead at their home stadium.
Falcao was played in by his strike partner Hulk down the right hand side. The Columbian international wasted no time on the ball inside the Villarreal penalty area as he fired a shot at the despairing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Helton-c16018 in the Spanish club’s goal.

The 20 year old Ghanaian midfielder replaced his experienced teammate in central midfield as Juan http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Garrido-c8443 attempted to give his side a route back into the match with some fresh legs on the field.
Yellow Submariners’ first change of the night was also influenced by the fact that Valero had already been booked in the first half and the midfielder’s robust approach meant that he was susceptible to a second yellow card.
Shortly after the goal, Villarreal made another change as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cani-c8305 in the center of the park for the away side.
In the 73rd minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 out of his team’s penalty area. The Spanish full back was lucky to see a yellow card as the crowd tried to pressure the referee for a red card since
the challenge by Catala was extremely risky.
The referee awarded a free kick to Porto which was taken by Guarin. This time Porto’s midfield maestro found Radamel Falcao’s head with his accurate delivery and the Columbian international made no mistake with his header as he completed his hat-trick with
a flurry of goals in the second half.
Falcao’s third goal of the night made it 4-1 in favour of Porto at Estadio do Dragão.
However, this wasn’t the end of the match as Falcao added further insult to an already disappointed Villarreal side by netting his fourth goal late in the second half.
The speedy striker pounced on Rodriguez’s corner and headed the ball past the static Diego Lopez to seal a 5-1 victory for his team.
All five of Porto’s goals came in the second half after an inspired half time team talk by Andres Villas Boas.
Falcao scored four goals in total whereas http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Freddy-c14144 Guarin scored once for the home side that ended the match as 5-1 winners.
