Portuguese Nightlife Dress Code?

I was told that you are not allowed to wear Jeans in restaurants or even clubs in Portugal, is this true?

lol, of course not. Especially in the summer, everybody wears jeans.

The only exceptions might be a half-dozen super-mega-expensive and luxurious restaurants (never clubs) that require a suit, but it's an exception.

OF COURSE NOT, im portuguese and I always visit portugal, I wear jeans alot, its fine.

No way! If yes, that would be a BIG problem for me, cuz I use jeans all the time ;D

There are some restaurants where u can just enter if u have a smoking, but that are these 5-stars-luxury-above-all-places!
