Portuguese or French?

I am trying to decide which of the two languages would be easier and more useful to learn, my native language is Spanish and I am intermediate in Italian. Can someone please tell me which one would be better Portuguese or French?

If your native language is Spanish, then Portuguese should be a BREEZE to learn. They are extremely similiar & it will take no time at all before you are speaking it fluently. If you are looking for a challenge and more cultural diversity, take French.

I would say that the determining factor here is interest and motivation. Which country, culture and language interest you the most? You can't learn a language that doesn't interest and motivate you.

In terms of international appeal, I'd say French is probably more prominent, and more valuable in the workfield.

Portuguese would be a snap for you, but not very useful. I would advise you study French.
