Posh, Ballymac and Lilly all set for the Coral Brighton Belle finals after a speedy victory
On Thursday evening, Coral Brighton Belle’s semifinals had three speedy qualifiers announced to be competing in the finals next week.
The event took place at Hove on the 18th of August 2011, three semifinals were held. The fastest qualifier that night was R J Holloway’s Airforce Posh, who covered his distance in 30 minutes and 23 seconds.
The black b***h started her chase from trap 6, she was very slow away but gradually her speed made her lead the race. Her amazing performance not only helped her qualify for the finals, but she also won the purse of £200.
Darfin Katie trained by A E Gardiner was ¾ lengths behind Airforce Posh, the black and white b***h who was approximately 5 seconds behind the winner, tried really hard to be the first one to reach the line, but the unlucky hound finished second, with recorded
time of 30 minutes and 28 seconds.
The second greyhound who was lucky that night was trainer K J Tester’s Ballymac Minus, the second fastest qualifier in the 2nd semi finals, covered her distance in 30 minutes and 36 seconds. The fawn b***h started her chase from trap 6, she ran
really fine from the starting and led the race until she reached the wire.
Ballymac Minus finishing first and won the purse of £200, she gave an immense competition to her contender Westmead Melanie, who was ½ a length behind Ballymac.
The black b***h had a slow start, then suddenly she started to run as fast as she could, but that did not help her because she reached four seconds late then Ballymac, she finished second with 30 minutes and 40 seconds.
Last but not the least Cagey Lilly, the third speedy qualifier of the coral Brighton Belle 1st semi final won the purse of £200. The black b***h covered the distance in 30 minutes and 44 seconds, trainer A M P Collett’s greyhound started her chase
from trap 5, she had a slow start, but all of a sudden she ran as fast as she could and led the race till she reached the wire.
The lucky greyhounds finished first by defeating trainer R J Hollowys Airforce Cougar, who was made happy that night by Airforce Posh, due to the fact that she was declared the fastest qualifier for the finals.
Airforce Cougar finished second with 30 minutes and 67 seconds, she was 2 ¾ lengths behind Cagey lilly. The black b***h was leading by ¾ lengths, then crowded and left behind when ¼ length was left.
