Question:

Posing Nude?

When I was in college my women's study teacher told me that men feel they are always in control of women and can control any woman they are in a relationship with. So when I told her that I like to pose nude she said that is just another way men have brain washed you into getting nude in front of a camera. Then she went on to bash Disney World by saying it just a trap to keep women submissive to men and make our daughters think they have to always pose as the damsel in distress! I got up and walked out of that class and never have I been back since. But what do you think about women who don't mind posing nude? It's not like I do it for just anybody.

  1. People often consider only their viewpoint and dismiss anyone else's.

Most of the women that have posed for me have been very intelligent and ethical people. They know how they want to be seen and are posing because they want to. This may be because they want to feel pretty, or s**y. They may be exploring something about themselves, or how they feel about their body. They may be having pictures done for themselves, or for a partner. There can also  be artistic or commentary reasons. Not every nude image is designed to be enticing. http://images.southbaye.com/unseen.html

Contrary to what is always said, the women that pose are not giving in to pressure from our society, they are going against it. How hard is it not to do something controversial? It takes much more courage to say "this is what I believe" and do something that not everyone will agree with.

Your teacher sounds like she believes in the 60's version of feminism where women were supposed to be identical to to men, and any expression of femininity was an offense committed by men. Equal rights, equal pay, etc. were good things. Some of them got so obsessive that they preached that women should dress like men, act like men and think like men, which still does not give them the right to choose for themselves what they want. A woman should be able to wear pants if she wants, but she should also be able to wear a pretty dress, or nothing at all if she chooses, without someone  being so presumptuous as to tell her why she is doing it, or criticizing her for it.

  2. You're asking for our opinions?  I have nothing against you personally, but to answer your question, I think women who do stuff of that nature have no respect for themselves.  They'll do things for money and attention just so they can feel like someone loves them or likes them.  The prettier people tell them they are, the better they feel about themselves.  Even though those people may not even mean it; they're just trying to get you to pose nude.  I think things of this nature take no talent or brains, and it's an easy buck for someone who likes to take the easy way out.  These people often end up regretting the things that they've done later in life.  It's not easy to get a professional position after everyone and their mother has seen you naked.

  3. That does sound like a bunch of drivel and you were right to leave if you wanted to.

Since you're asking what I think of women who don't mind posing nude, I'll tell you. You said that it's not like you do it for just anybody. That statement confuses me. If you pose nude for a price and those pictures are sold anyone can see them, this means you got nude for everybody.

Also, I have often thought why it might be wrong for a woman to pose nude, to do this she would have to be quite beautiful because obviously seeing nude, ugly people doesn't turn on anyone or generate any type of reaction aside from disgust.

So why is it that nude beautiful women are what's photographed? They are sexually enticing. This is what pornography is. A women's sexuality is her body and looks and you are selling easy access to your body. In a sense, like stripping, it is prostitution.

  4. I'd do it. I mean, not with like my legs wide open and a camera zoomed in on my v****a, but if it was artistic and beautiful, I'd do it.

  5. if we were meant to be clothed all the time....why were we born nude ?.....if you got it ...flaunt it...if you dont....dont.......Bosun x

  6. To each their own...

I wouldnt because I am too shy and because my husband would not be supportive.

You teacher is just a bitter old hag who needs to get a man.

  7. I think it's cool. If you enjoy it, why not? How many years do we get on this planet? Have fun, now.

  8. I dont think it is a control issue, but its what society teaches us. This was probably a sociology class.. but thats not important. Im a 18 yr old female, and i wouldn't pose naked...especially if im not getting paid for it. But i dont think ur teacher was completely wrong, but the way she worded it was.

BUT im not gonna lie, i love p**n... and someone has to do it, so idc if u do it. but being stupid about posing could cost you

  9. If you got it , flaunt it! I don't se anything wrong with anyone posing nude if they feel comfortable doing it and the pose is in good taste. Raunchy poses seem rude and degrading, but I think natural poses are beautiful.

  10. Wow, your prof was a whack job. To answer your question, posing nude for an art class is one thing. Humping a pole is another. Nudity done artfully (like your avatar) is a beautiful thing.

  11. I think that, if you're an attractive woman and you pose nude for a camera, you shouldn't be surprised when your picture ends up on the internet.

That being said, if you're not getting paid for it, then it's probably not a wise decision.

  12. So do it. Why would I care?

  13. cool - don't let some teacher w/ personal issues dump her load on U !
