Positive Effects of UNICEF?

Question

I'm currently preparing a short 1-2 min persuasive speech about UNICEF.

I was wondering what the single most impact of UNICEF to the world. Or, if UNICEF was not established, what would the world be like?

In other words, the positive benefits or consequences of inaction of UNICEF.

If I can get an answer soon, time would be very helpful.

If it were not created there would be a lot of situations where greedy politicians wouldn't be able to embezzle funds and falsify documents.  And maybe the money would go to the right people.  I knew people who were from New Orleans getting money and free hotel rooms when they lived in Oregon.

If you go to the web site, you can look at individual programs they have undertaken -- the number of children they have immunized, for instance -- and say that, without UNICEF, this # of children wouldn't have been immunized, without UNICEF, this # of children wouldn't have received bed nets, etc.
