  1. For positive aspects read your history book about the conditions they suffered through during the revolutionary war and the civil war during the long winter months on the battlefields. Then stop and think for a minute, when was the last time you saw the Hudson River with ice flows in it or frozen over where an army could cross on foot with wagons carrying field guns. Then visualize farms growing wheat and raising cows and goats in Greenland where the ground today is frozen tundra that no grass will grow on. It will need to get several degrees warmer before they can start farming that land again.

  2. Positive:  Al Gore gets money

    Negative: I lose money

  3. Lower heating bills......Good

    Less Penguins.............Bad

    Penquin (Langu) tasty.

    (Chew more Langu)

  4. Global Warming? What's that?

Oh! It's the crock of c**p one pinhead is forcing us to swallow whole without a fight!

  5. The effects of global warming are really the only area where there is any ground for legitimate disagreement (as opposed to outright bulls***).

    The bad:

    * The oceans rising is a pretty big negative (a lot of people are going to have to move but it should be survivable).

    * Diseases will end up spreading to places they haven't been before.

    * A lot of places on the planet may not be able to grow food.

    * The ecosystem is going to have suffered some pretty massive damage (no natural global warming has been as fast as the current human caused one so we can't use past natural global warming events as proof that life will survive).

    * We might decide we don't like the planet as much as we used to.

    Potential good things:

    * Once all is done there *might* be higher total biomass even despite there being less land.

    * We might decide we like the planet better than we used to.

  6. Yeah, I don't believe in it, but if it is true. Then we'll just have to change where we live for similar climates we have now. We'll have icey areas, they'll just be somewhere else. I'm not sure why people are so worried about it. So that's a positive, negitive I guess we don't live the way we do now. In that we won't live where we do now, we'll have to move to suit our prefrence of weather.
