Positive OPK, but only A WEEK until my period (AF) . . what!!??!!?? HELP!!?

i'm on my 23rd day of my cycle. and am supposed to start in exactly 7 days and i just got a positive OPK. i just took one randomly. i thought that after you ovulated, its at least 14 days until you start your period (luteal phase) whats up with my. my period are pretty regular.

has this happened to you?? what was the result??

also, i have no idea what this would have to do with anything, but last night i was standing in front of the mirror and all of a sudden my nose started bleeding badly into my mouth. (tmi) and i never get bloody noses. my husband and my sister both said, "OMG!! your pregnant" lol.

anywho, what do you think???? if its positive tomorrow AND the next day, i'll probably take a pregnancy test, but i didn't want to give my hopes up so soon.

Congratulations! It is very rare to get a false positive test. The new tests can detect a pregnancy 5 days before your period is due. So if you ovulated 2-3 days early this would explain the early result. It is not unusual to ovulate a little early or even later than expected. You just never know for sure. The bloody nose is a definite clue. I had this problem with both of my first two pregnancies. Usually it was later, like after 3 months but my sister had this issue as soon as she got pregnant. So congrats again!
