Hello.

I had TB in March, and since then have been on a strict 6 month course of tablets. Tb has now cleared, i am told it will leave a scar on my lung so when it comes to canada medicals they will see this in the x-ray, my doctor says that they will write a letter to explain the medical person that i have completed my course of medication for 6 months and there are no sign of TB.

Will canada still turn me down on this medical history?!?!?

  1. I did the opposite of you. I moved from Canada to the states. I thought the states would turn me down because of a major depression issue I had a couple years back. When I went for my physical, the doctor asked me about it. I told her that it was long gone and I have found better ways to deal with my stress. All she wanted was a letter from my usual doctor saying that I have been treated for it and to give a estimated time frame of how long it's been since they have seen my in the office for it. I am now in the states. They let me through cause I hadn't had a problem with it in a couple years.

With you, I think you are going to be fine cause you have a letter stating that you have been clear. You got the treatment needed and now it's gone. I do know this. Getting into Canada is a TON easier than getting into the States.

They may want to do their own test though just to be sure.

Just don't be alarmed if they ask for their own test done.

    Hope I helped.
