Question:

Possibility our universe was a result of quantum fluctuation

I guess particles can just appear out of nowhere and quickly annihilate themselves. Are their any theories or hypotheses that suggest that is how the singularity which spawned the universe came to be?

Where do you think the singularity came from if you have an opinion on that subject?

Do you think it was a collision of two membranes?

Or is our universe a result of some bigger multiverse?

Maybe we are the result of a white hole(I heard someone tell me that one time)?

what say you?

  1. You need to be more thoughtful about the your questions themselves. "came from" implies a *space* where every*thing* use to be at an earlier *time*. But if the universe *is* space, time, and all things in it, then what does it even mean to ask where it came from?

  2.   Don't try to understand where the singularity came from because are minds are incapable of understanding. We are part of the universe and so we are separate from the forces that created universe. In other words we are the product of those forces.

There was something before the universe was formed but our minds are limited we can just see the evidence of those forces and that is what we should be concerned about.

I personally think there must be other dimesions involved which we can never know how they came into being, but just study their effects

  3. Perhaps there was no "before." Time-Space and Energy-Matter just started.  This concept is no more mind boggling than infinite time.  See Stephen Hawking, "A Short History of Time."

This completely avoids the chicken-egg paradox.  Everything just "Began."
