Question:

Possible Credit scenarios?

Lets say I've paid all my debt off. Now a few of these things were in collections, and none of them were from an actual credit card. So these things are on there for 7 years, I got that. But is it possible to raise my credit score once everything is squared away? And how long would it take?

  1. Sure.  Get a credit card.  Use it.  Never have a balance that exceeds 30% of your credit limit.  Pay it on time-always.  Little by little, month by month, your credit improves.  However, the negative info will be there for 7 years and may impact your borrowing until it's gone.
