Possible Pacquiao vs Hatton bout?

Manny has declared he's leaving the Super featherweight division to go up to Lightweight. Also promoter Bob A has even linked a possible double move up in weight to Light Welterweight to take on IBO champ Ricky Hatton. Surely this fight be a hit with the fans as British and Filipino fans are as passionate as it gets.....Where should the fight be held and who would ultimately win?

  1. i think hatton can kick Paquiao ***. yea he lost to Floyd but This is diff rent this is his weight division so i Will give it to Hatton hands down

  2. This fight would be a great hit with the fans but would be a bad fight for Pacquio to take. Remeber he started off as a flyweight and now plans to fight at lightweight so thats quite a few weight classes hes moved up already . I actually think Pacquios natural weight is at featherweight or maybe even super bantemweight. So a fight for him at light welterweight would be way out of his natural weight class and the extra weight could slow him down and his punches would most likely be less sharp. Having said that i do fancy him to beat Diaz at lightweight if that fight takes place, and if he wins that the fight against Hatton may well happen. If the fight did take place it should be at a neutral venue and would probably be in Las Vegas at one of the big casinos.

  3. I think Pacquiao has a very strong shot of beating Hatton.   Pac-man's motor never stops & I think he's fought & beat the better oposition.   He really ended the careers of Barrera & Morales.   Hatton was exposed by Floyd & I would pick Pac-Man by decision.

  4. It wouldn't matter where the fight takes place at. It's going to generate a lot of fans, even if the fight took place on a volcano, lol.

Anyway, I think Pacquiao going up to 140 to fight Ricky Hatton would be suicide. This fight would not go the distance. Hatton has fought almost his entire career at 140. Pacquiao has came all the way up from junior flyweight and has been knocked out twice at the smaller classes. Pacquiao has also shown that he can be severely hurt in a fight. Hatton would be BY FAR the hardest hitter that Pacquiao has faced. No way, Pacquiao wins a brawling match with Hatton.

  5. pacquiao

  6. I totally agree with Woody. Even the Light Welterweight division is a huge chance for Pacquiao to take right now. It's definately going to be nothing less of a challenge. And the Light Welterweight division would be pure annihalation on the part of Hatton. That's just way out of the Pacman's league and I don't see him gaining that much weight any time soon if ever. It would be a great fight if Pacquiao could pull it off but realistically the chances of that fight happening would be slim to none as Pacquiao is a natural Featherweight/Lightweight.

  7. Right now he is scheduled to fight David Diaz in june for a lightweight title.  Should he win he can fight Hatton for a huge payday.  Win or lose (most likely lose) he will make mega millions.

Pac needs to learn to follow Roach's instructions better if he wants any chance against someone like Hatton.

I do believe the plan is to fight Hatton after Diaz.

  8. Pac will win by split decision
