My friend thinks she might have a yeast infection. She has discharge but it is just clear or white and doesn't smell. She says that it doesn't hurt to pee, but it is really itchy down there. She also says her C**t is really sore and red. She has never had s*x before so it can't be anything to do with that.

Please help she is really scared!

  1. Yep, its definately a Yeast Infection...

Ugh sucks to be here....she should try using a Vagisil cream on the itchy parts, or get one of those Monistat Kits...to really help, she should ask her doctor to give her an antibiotic called Diflucan ASAP! It lasts a week through your body.

Also, make sure she eats a lot of yogurt with active cultures in it. (which is most of them)

  2. Just tell her to calm down. if shes taking any medication it could be from that.. (some types of medicine cause yeast infections) its happened to me a lot from taking acne medicines like minocycline, tetracycline..tell her shes gonna be just fine & to not worry..its not life threatening. its all about being a girl..we all get em' and bladder infections to. tell her to make sure she washes down there everyday (with a natural bar of soap so it wont irritate her) and make sure to wipe every time she uses the bathroom..(this can cause infections also). tell her to talk to her mom & tell her that shes worried and she wants to get rid of it. you can go to any walgreens, cvs, etc.. and get Monistat.

  3. sounds likea  yeast infection. she shold get it checked out by her doc. they are very easy to treat and go away within 3-5 days when treated.

  4. Anyone can get a yeast infection.  Even little kids.  It doesn't mean anything "bad" like it seems like she is thinking.  She can go buy an over the counter remedy.  Don't buy the one application ones though because they don't work as well.  Buy one that has at least 3 applications.  They usually come with external creme that she can use to help the itching.  Most of the infections I have ever gotten just had itching and redness- no pain when urinating.  If it doesn't clear up after she uses the over the counter stuff, she should go to a doctor.  Some infections can be stubborn and need antibiotics.  She should be wearing cotton underwear and pants/shorts that are not too tight.  This will help.  Also, maybe wear a pantiliner to help absorb any excess moisture.  If she goes swimming, she shouldn't sit around in a wet bathing suit either.  These are just some tips!
