I'm a college freshmen who is still undecided (major). I'm taking Biology, Chemistry, Math, Philosophy... However, I've noticed that my favorite lessons in Biology are always about cells. Whether it may be learning about their organelles or just Mitosis, etc.

Also, in high school...I took a zoology class and I really enjoyed learning about single cell organisms as well as other ones...and I took a Forensic class...where we had to use microscopes.

I've been considering Cytotechnology as a career but the job opportunities for it are poor... Any other suggestions? I've also been considering Biology or even Chemistry...but I'm not too sure...

  1. You could become a histologist...histology is all about cells and microscopes. =)

  2. How about cellular biology?  Really, there are many, many careers that involve cellular work.

Do a bio major and then you can go lots of places from there: pathologist, PhD researcher, pharm industry research, research assistant, and others.  It sounds like a PhD in some area would be best for you from what I hear so far.
