Question:

Possible child abuse?

My friend uses a teenage (17 year old) girl to babysit her 3 year old son on an occasional basis. The other day she told me something that the child told her, which I find very hard to believe.

This girl was using the bathroom, and (apparently intentionally) left its door half open. This child wandered into the bathroom, and out of curiosity asked her "you don't have a peepee?". She asked him to "help her find her peepee", and made him touch her between her legs and all around!

First, can this be true? Second, if so, what can my friend do to minimize any harm that was done to this child?

BTW, she has already decided not ask this girl to babysit him anymore.

  1. Young children generally don't lie about this kind of stuff.  She needs to be reported  :)

  2. I don't think thats called child abuse, its more of sexual intercourse with a child, and that is very sick and wrong, but i don't think this will harm the baby in any way majorly because he might just forget about it and find out later that girls don't have "peepees". Maybe she left the door open because she wanted to make sure he wasn't going to cause any trouble so she could watch him.

  3. Sounds dead on true.  3 year olds are very honest, they usually do not know how to make things up at that age.

  4. Report her to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.  Children don't normally just make up stories like that so it is probably true and may not be all that happened.

  5. sadly could be true   get rid of the sitter  the kid is 3 he will be fine

  6. FIRST OF ALL THE WAY YOUR STORY SEEMS AS IF YORU FRIEND FORCED THE CHILD TO TOUCH HER(BABYSITTER) IN BETWEEN HER LEGS> THEREFORE I TAKE THIS AS SHE IS ABUSING THAT CHILD AND SOMEONE SHOULD DEFF TRACK YOUR COMPUTER AND TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY BECAUSE NO BABYSITTER SHOULD FORCE A CHILD TO TOUCH HER OR HELP HER FIND SOMETHING LETTHING THAT CHILD DO THAT!! NOW C.P.S SHOULD ALSO BE INVOLVED IN THIS , THEY OR YOU SHOULD CALL INCASE THIS CHILD IS INDANNGER!! PLEASE RE -READ YOUR PARAGRAPH BECAUSE IT DOSNT MAKE SENSE.. THAT IS NOT A FRIEND SOUNDS MORE LIKE A CHILD MOLESTER. -PREDITOR....SOMEONE FLAG THIS....AS INNAPROPRIATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SICK.SICK...THING

  7. Not child abuse but sexualy abuse.

I would say report her but just because a child told his mother is not much provef.

  8. Report it.

  9. Don't hire the babysitter again but talk to her in a civilized manner and ask if this really happened. Let her know your opinion about this and make sure to tell her this could get her in SERIOUS trouble if she tries it with someone else in the future. Some teenagers don't know all their boundaries yet, they are too free in their own minds. Don't call the cops on her because she is young and doesn't need her life ruined from something that depends on the word of a 3 year old child (no disrespect at all please).

  10. it sounds like the teenager was on drugs or has something wrong with her mentally.

basically, there are sick people out there and sometimes stuff like that happens

i dont really know if theres anything your friend can do for her child to possibly erase that from his head because i know i was emotionally scarred when my dads friend put on p**n for me and wanted me to touch his p***s when i was very little and i still think about it sometimes

  11. A three year old wouldn't know enough to lie about that kind of thing. Tell the police, and it'll go on the record that she's a s*x offender and no one will want to hire her after that.

Did her son act traumatized? The best way to handle this is to let him know that she won't make him do that anymore. Also, praise him for telling you, and let him know about the whole good touch/bad touch thing.

  12. She needs to tell someone! This girl shouldn't be baby-sitting! No kid is going to make something like that up on their own!!!!

  13. Sure it could be true. Your friend should explain to her son that lying is bad and if he made it up to please say so. Second, talk to the girl and maybe the child was misunderstanding something or twisted her words a little bit. If she sounds nervous, report that person. Then, she should enroll the child in some type of counseling for his age group.

  14. Yes, this is very possible, as teenagers sometimes becomes a little fetish.  But as the child is only three years old, it's likely that he may not remember much as time goes by.  The best option is not to make a big deal of it as far as he is concerned.

I recommend your friend confront this girl and get the truth.  At any rate, it's not appropriate.

  15. If that is all there was then I doubt the child will feel as though he will ever feel abused.  However, I would certainly dig deep to make sure nothing further ocurred.  AND, I would consider taking this incident to the authorities because who knows what has happened in other homes or what may happen in the future.

  16. young children dont make that kind of stuff up

  17. you need to make your friend call the cops or you do it. this 17 year old is a threat to children. now she asks them to find her peepee, next time she will be touching theirs. I WOULD CALL THE COPS! no 3 year old can make a story like this.

This is why i trust nobody to watch my kid.

  18. First get a nanny cam and talk to the child more about this to be sure it is a fact. No you the mother needs to speak with the child. Call child services. In the future get a nanny cam! Hire a professional and do a background check. Pop in and check on the sitter at different times unannounced.

  19. You should probably talk to the police about it.

  20. wow, i doubt a 3 year old can come up with something like that. So it most likely is TRUE. She can def go to the girls parents and talk to them about the whole incident. Try to get the child into other activities so  he doesent talk about it too much; and teach him how he shouldnt go into a bathroom when someone is in it. Do whatever you can to make him feel that it was bad; without yelling, screaming. etc.

    hope i helped!

  21. I don't know if it can be true or not...I wasn't there.

  22. 1st off, this is a 3yr old toddler. they do not randomly think of things like this. that sounds like it really did happen. a 3 yr old would not make something up like that. that girl needs to have the police called on her. keep her away from him.
