Possible destinations for LeBron if he hadn’t gone to Miami Heat (Part 1)
After the excitement and curiosity about where LeBron James would go when he became a free agent, on 8th July 2010 the NBA World learned that he would be heading to Miami Heat. This took place one day after Chris Bosh announced that he was going
to play for the Miami Heat. This team according to the experts, which formed the big three can possibly be the only team to deny the Lakers a third consecutive title. Now coming to the article, we will be discussing as to where LeBron James would be heading
if it hadn’t gone to Miami Heat.
The first team that comes on the list of his speculated destinations is New York. This player would have been in the starting line up and played alongside Amare Stoudemire. Both of them combined would have resulted in taking the team to the Playoffs. The
regular season would see them finish with a record of 63-19. If this had been the case, then the Knicks would finish the season losing in the playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers. Along with this it is also predicted that if LeBron had gone to New York then
they would have won two titles in the next five seasons.
Though the New York Knicks had the chance to sign to big names and had the capability to sign King James, the player didn’t respond to their offer. They would have become one of the toughest teams on the offense and also would have had one the most talented
rosters in the NBA. The only thing that would have hindered their chances would have been the fact that they would have been weak when it comes to defence. Coupled with this would have been the lack of experience of playing together that would have been a
reason of stopping their progress in the league.
Another possible destination of this great player could have been the Chicago Bulls. Starting with players like Derrick Rose and Carlos Boozer, this player would have been part of a formidable team in the NBA. James would have enjoyed more success in the
Bulls than in the Knicks after finishing the regular season with 67-15. The upcoming season would have seen the Bulls win the NBA title and win at least win 3 titles during the course of the next five seasons.
The Bulls are one of those teams in the NBA that had a lot of finance to back them. Such is the extent of their financial backing that they could have managed to sign Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James. This would have resulted in the Bulls wining
an amazing 75 games. But analysts say that Chris Bosh would still have gone to Miami Heat resulting in a little less success for Chicago Bulls.
Still the line up that the Bulls would have had would have been a nightmare for most teams. Accompanied with the fact that these players are excellent in the department of offense these players would have become the best in the defence too. Tom Thibodeau
coaching them would have added to them becoming some of the finest players in the league. With the fact that players like Boozer and James improve on the shooting skills, this team would have resulted in a great deal of success.
This effectively would have resulted in the team becoming one of the top scorers in the league and also cemented their positions that not only defeats the teams but also humiliates them. Added to this would have been Korver coming off the bench, strengthening
an already strong offensive team. Analysts say that without a doubt this formidable team would have resulted in them defeating the Los Angeles Lakers and also winning the title and beginning an era of Bulls dominance once again.
