Doth anyone believe Romeo and Juliet should have done what their parents said?

Doth any of thou believeth I made a mistake - perchance it was a little to obvious in hindsight.

This could have saved me a great deal of time and parchment.

  1. You should have said "ye" and not "thou"    as you're asking a group of people and that would be plural.

In that case, you would have to use the form of the verb that's "do" and not "doth."

Incidentally, if they'd done what their parents had said, there wouldn't be a play, nor several movies.

An interesting note on this play.  An acting group was touring Colorado and performing this play before a bunch of drunken minors.    They thought it was real and were becoming violent.   The actors changed the play to a happy ending to avoid being stormed by the audience.

The happy ending included a wedding ceremony and a reception for the happy and not dead couple.   We can only assume there was more drinking.

  2. thine humble words hath sold many thousand tickets over the years, worry ye not thou hath penned a winner.

and its all about bums on seats in the end darling, bums on seats.

  3. No, listening to your parents is neither dramatic nor romantic, and teen suicide is always a nail-biter.

Fret not, you picked right, Bill.

  4. I really feel for Paris, he is the good guy, treats Juliet really well even when she behaves like a cow to him. If Juliet had married Paris she could have been very happy!
