Possible replacements for Cesc Fabregas should he leave the Gunners’ squad – Part 1
Arsenal have yet again failed to win any silverware this season, extending their trophy-less streak to 6 years. The trophy drought, apart from creating a sense of anxiety at the Emirates and leaving the fans disgruntled, has reportedly caused a few players to rethink their future.
Francesc Fabregas, the talisman and the “El Capitan” for this young team has been continuously linked with a move away from the Emirates and back to boyhood club Barcelona.
He has shown his frustration at the manager Arsene Wenger for adopting a policy of developing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 youngsters instead of buying proven players. This, he feels, has taken preference over the quest for silverware.
Although unintended, the Spanish midfielder challenged the authority of the manager when he commented on the fact that the Frenchman would not have been able to survive in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 as a manager had he gone trophy-less for over 5 years.
Fabregas has been the “in” news in the rumor mill with speculations over his future already rife. Though the transfer saga was expected to end last summer, Arsene Wenger managed to convince him to stay for another campaign.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Real Madrid will bid for the midfielder this summer but for a transfer to take place, they must better the 35 million pounds that was rejected by Arsenal last term. Ex gunner, Nigel Winterburn believes that should a serious offer come from Barcelona, Arsenal will in all probability sell their midfield maestro.
Should the Arsenal player make a move to his boyhood club this summer, it will be hard for the existing Gunners to fill his boots. Although the emergence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360.
With the 35 million pounds, or more, obtained from the sale of Fabregas, a new player might be a real possibility.
We at Bettor.com have a list of ten players most likely to fill the space created, should Fabregas leave.
1- Aaron Ramsey

Our bright future prospect, Aaron Ramsey suffered a horrific fracture to his leg last season against Stoke City. Due to the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eduardo-c12034 had not been able to regain his form since recovering from a similar leg break, it was feared that Aaron Ramsey would suffer a similar fate.

But his performance against Manchester United, and the fact that he was named the Captain of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041, is a declaration of the fact that he has not suffered any lasting effects of that horrific injury and still retains that creativity and vision that made him such a sought after transfer target while he was at Cardiff.

Ramsey has been flaunted as an appropriate replacement for Fabregas, having already covered for him in the match against United. He has the potential and the poise of a natural midfielder who can control the game well; just like Fabregas did. The only big question is if he is ready to play in that midfield role having recently recovered from a career threatening injury.
