replacements for the striker as it will be almost impossible to convince the player to stay considering Koln have no chances of qualifying for Europe.
The Billy Goats will definitely miss the services of their in-form striker if he is to leave at the end of this season. Podolski has been in superb goal scoring form and has been one of the few positives for the club this season.
Solbakken has expressed his concerns over the player’s possible departure and wants to sign a perfect replacement before the season expires.
While talking to Bild, the tactician further mentioned:
"I rule out nothing. Especially not in Koln, because Koln is not normal. We need a 'Plan B' and have to look at what we can do after Poldi's decision."
As the manager switches his focus on recruiting Podolski’s alternate, we take a look at the few possible names who could replace the attacker at the RheinEnergieStadion.

The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485 striker’s current contract with the Red-Shorts will expire at the end of this season. The Croatian international can fill in the boots of Podolski considering his past experience in the Bundesliga and his goalscoring
form. The attacker has scored 35 times in the 84 Bundesliga appearances for Hamburg and has been a vital player for the club in recent years.
However, the striker is already 31 years of age compared to Podolski, who is 26. Petric’s age might not allow him to be as agile as Podolski which might diffuse the manager’s interest in the former Basel man. The final decision,
though, has to come from the Koln bosses who might find Petric an attractive option especially after looking at his record for Rothosen.
There is a possibility that the Koln bosses might have their eye on the Hamburg star as the Red-Shorts have not yet offered a contract extension to the 31-year-old.

The Bayern Munich striker has fallen down the pecking order of strikers at the Allianz-Arena and is highly likely to leave the club at the end of this season. The player expressed his desire to part ways with the club during the
ongoing winter transfer window but was forced to change his decision after sporting director, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, reportedly blocked his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881.
The Croatian international wants to play regular first team football and Koln can certainly provide the player with that. The striker will be the first choice attacker at the RheinEnergieStadion and would fit in perfectly in the
formation Solbakken plays.
Olic has only managed seven league appearances this season, and is certain to head out of the Allianz-Arena in June. Will it be Olic or Petric, or will Podolski stay at the RheinEnergieStadion, much to the delight of the Koln officials?
