  1. ok first   there are head units that have center channel speakers built in  i had a panasonic that had a motorized flip out center channel that supported 5.1 dolby digital surround sound.   then you can use the doors or kick panels to mount  speakers for the front and the rear dash for the rear speakers.  the trunk and the sub woofer output for the subwoofer and amps to power it all. not like headphones but like the movie theatre if  high quality components.

  2. YES and NO. Yes if your audio source is capable and if you know how to wire your system. No if does otherwise.

It is not the number and type of speakers that you use that make up a complete sound-sorround in your car. Start with your Audio Source such as your Audio Player and amplifier. If your Audio source is not stereo it will not produce a stereophonic sound. If your Audio Source is not quadraphonic it won't produce a quadraphonic sound either. The point is Your Audio source must be able to support and produce a surround output but if you only have a stereo (2-channels) or Quadraphonic (4 Channels) you can still produce a surround sound-like output by manipulating your speaker connections. If you are interested to know more about it you have to consult me for a fee but I can help you by suggesting you do your research on audio engineering or click on the following links for your info and get the science of sound production and propagation:

  3. Yes. Id say a 2 way tweeter/midrange in the center of the dash, and a midbass woofer and tweeter in the front and rear door panels, and a nice 10" sub in the back.

  4. Yes...Start with this below.
