Possible to overwater vegetable garden?

I live in New Bedford, MA where the weather tends to be in the 60s/70s year round.

I've got 3 boxes filled with fertilizer and dirt along with various vegetables.(tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, string beans, and radishes), now I was wondering if I were to put sprinkles in the center of each box and left them on for about 2 hours a day would that possibly overwater them?

Is that even possible?

  1. Yes you can over water and 2 hours sounds like it may be too much. There is no way to give a definitive answer as to how much is the correct amount, but if after watering the water hasn't all soaked in within about 10 or 15 minutes it is over watered.
