Possible to retrieve photos that were replaced?

i uploaded pictures from my camera at two seperate times. The first time i dragged it into a folder, and the second time i uploaded it, the jpg numbers repeated. so when i tried dragging them into the same folder a popup came up asking if i wanted to replace the pictures since there are already existing files with the same jpg number. I mistook it for asking if i wanted it to be in the folder even though there are the same numbers. Is there any way to retrieve the pictures that were replaced?

No, once you agree to overwrite, the originals will be forever replaced. But if the pictures are overwritten with ones from the camera of the same name, the replacements are no different from the originals, so what exactly is the issue?
