Possible to share ADSL internet via USB wireless adaptor to my wireless laptop?

I have 1mb ADSL internet via single port speedtouch usb modem in my home pc. from the pc I planning to share internet via usb wireless adaptor in to my wireless option laptop also w/out buying router

Could you pls. tell me the possibility and how to do.

  1. Well, a router is a better solution it will work even with your main computer turned off!  However, If you really want to "share" internet using a USB or other wifi card all you have to do is setup an AD-HOC wireless network and enable ICS (Internet connection sharing)  That is all built into windows os.

    It does work, is not the best solution


  2. A wireless adapter is for connecting a device TO a wireless network, not for creating a network on which to share an internet connection.

    Buy a router.
