I was wondering if it were possible to take 2 minutes off my 2 mile run? If so what type of time span am I looking at? I currently run 2 mile in about 18 minutes and need it under 16 minutes A.S.A.P.....my goal is to have that time down to under 16: minutes in a month or so......Is it possible? If so how?

  1. maybe i mean if you tired then go ahead

  2. just keep doing the 2 mile run and ur get better

  3. lol I used to be a long dis. runner in high school (not great but decent)  when your training run farther than 2 miles try to get up to 3 or more if u can, also run 5x a week alternating the distance you run.  Day one shorter dis. day two: longer dis, Day 3 shorter dis than 2 but longer than 1.  etc.   If u train using longer dis. then you build ur endurance, so when u run 2 miles you'll be able to run it faster w/ ur newfound energy.

well that's what worked for me anyways

  4. yea keep training everyday and lenghten your stride so you cover more distance

  5. yes it is,my time is 12;46

  6. yes i did

    i ran xc

  7. a male can drop time faster than a female but you should be able to drop that time if you train

it is really all up to u, the harder you train the faster the time will come off and you should be able to do it in a month

  8. keep training everyday... thats all you can do and it sounds like you have a reasonable goal
