Nocioni on the move?

Now that the Bulls have agreed in principle to a six-year, $71 million extension for Luol Deng, they can move onto other business. That business could include trading Andres Nocioni.

the Bulls could be looking to take advantage of the Kings' apparent desire to unload contracts by offering Nocioni to Sacramento for Brad Miller, a second person familiar with the situation said. Kings coach Reggie Theus is said to be none too pleased with the organization's decision to trade Ron Artest to Houston, because he knows that signals the end of trying to compete for a playoff spot and the beginning of another potentially ugly rebuilding period.

what do you think about this trade?

  1. i personally don't like it

  2. Seriously? Why not. I really like the idea but I don't think the Kings would love it though. Why? Because of Nocioni's 5 years contract left. (and they will pay him $8M a year? And they will trade Brad Miller who only has 2 years left on his contract? As we all know, the Kings are in rebuilding mode. I doubt they would want to get a player with that kind of contract. Nocioni the player, yes. But with his contract, nope. this would definitely help the Bulls as they would finally get a center they were aching for. I can say that with Brad Miller, they're back in the playoffs! But on the final analysis, this won't happen as the Kings are in rebuilding mode and wouldn't succumb to Nocioni's contract as much as how talented he is.

  3. the Bulls don't want to give up Nocioni

but there willing to give up Hinrich

So I think this trade would be possible

  4. as a bulls fan, i like it. his contract expires during the 2010 offseason. which will be one of the greatest offseasons to have money and there are rumors around that they want wade. so it sounds great

  5. i guess that would be a good trade for both teams because the bulls need a centre and the kings need a scorer since artest left

  6. They had miller, he was traded in the Artest trade for Jalen Rose,  I do not see how it makes them that much better, the Bulls starting 5 is Hinrich, Gordon or Rose, Deng, Noah and Thomas, I would start a small lineup.  Miller is not a very good player in my opinion, I wish they did a sign and trade for Okafor involving Nocioni and possibly Gordon, esp. since Morrison is Garbage.

  7. dude today's the baseball trade deadline lets talk basektball in November

  8. It seems good to me. Brad Miller certainly isn't the player he was a few years ago, but he still has a few years left. This trade is great. Thomas and Noah aren't very good centers in the NBA. I see both of them as power forwards.

  9. I know you are looking for an answer with a Bulls twist, But I am looking at it from a Kings perspective.

Goeff Petrie: Please get rid of Brad Miller

Spencer Hawes is ready to take over, He does not need to be "groomed" by a pot head who already has three strikes against him in the leagues substance abuse policy.

I don't nesc. want Nocioni, but Brad has got to go.

I am excited that the rebuilding has begun!!!

Lots of young raw tallent and a coach who is a GREAT teacher.

This team is being built for Reggie to coach...Ron-Ron was a hold-over from the Adelman days (I am glad Ron-Ron is Gone-Gone).

Young players will make mistakes and the kings will be starting their summer vacations sooner than 16 other teams...but they are headed in the right direction.

P.S. Anyone want to take K9 (Kenny Thomas) as long as we are talking about dumping dead weight????

  10. Im a huge Kings fan, and i hate this trade scenario.

    1. Nocioni is overpaid and isn't the kind of player the kings need

    2. Brad Miller is the perfect player to groom someone like Spencer Hawes, whom they drafted last year, to replace him

    3. The Kings are obviously rebuilding, and it just doesn't make sense to make this trade unless another player was thrown in
