Possibly Broke My Ipod? Please Help!

I pulled my Ipod out when it was still connected to the computer. I wasn't thinking at all, but when I pulled it out there was a frozen image of "Do Not Disconnect" on my screen. Now, it's dead because it was on and frozen for too long, and I don't know if it will ever work again. Please help?!

  1. if its just frozen, that happens to everyone.

    have you resested it yet?

    try it.

hold menu & center for like a couple seconds.

& it will go back to normal.. good luck

  2. I always take mine out when it says "Do Not Disconnect", and it's never screwed up my iPod.

  3. same thing happened to me,the battery should run out and it will turn off and you just need to charge it but make sure when you unplug it you click on safely remove hardware

  4. dude, don't worry! my brother did this last week after winning one at safeway! just put it back on the docking station after you get the 'do not disconnect' sign to go away, then(you have a mac, right?) shut down the computer, and take the i-pod out. it should play fine now. sorry if i'm wrong, it worked for me!!!

  5. you didn't break it, that happens. usually when it freezes you can unfreeze it by trying a few different things. just plug it back into the computer and let it charge.. once it's done charging shut down your computer and remove it. if it's froze.. press the menu button and middle circle button at the same time.. that unfreezes it.

  6. That happened to my sisters ipod a lot but it will work. Just reset it first by holding the middle and pause button for a few seconds and then it will work =]
