Possibly a cure for cancer?

I heard olive juice and green tea and believing in god cures cancer!

has anyone tried this before?

I'm sure as prevalent as cancer is, and as prevalent as silly "miracle cure" claims are that involve everyday ingredients, there are some unfortunate cancer patients who have tried this; I am equally sure that it did nothing for them.  

Common sense and a simple "thought experiment" should help you understand what a patently dumb idea this particular "fake cure" must be; look at the countries that consume quantities of olives in their standard diet (Greece, Italy, France...)...do they have lower cancer rates than those that eat virtually no olives (Iceland, Greenland, Norway)?

No they don't.  In fact they have HIGHER rates of cancer.  But of course I am not suggesting olives cause cancer!

Green tea is another "red herring"; the same people who convince themselves it's "good for cancer" are likely to believe that fluoride  is somehow "bad for you", yet Green tea is an extremely rich source of fluoride!

Don't even get me started on the number of people who have died praying...

Studies have shown that green tea has no affect on cancers. God can cure anything if a person has enough faith but for reasons only God knows not everyone is cured.

cancer screws with your white blood cells. (at least both times mine did) It makes them attack eachother and kill eachother off until only the abnormal cells are left. Then you die.

Who's been telling you that nonsense?

Are you suggesting that peope who believe in God don't die of cancer? Or do they have to combine that belief with olive juice and green tea for it to be effective?

Green tea is not effective against cancer. Nor are olives. And of course, nor is belief in a god

No, definitely not true.

Cancer is caused by errors in cell sequencing. These errors may be due to radiation exposure, old age, or deficiencies in immune systems. Typically damage cells will either die or the body will dispose of it. However, sometimes these cell survive and duplicate.

Olive juice and green tea have many anti-oxidants. This will lessen free radicals in the body. Drinking green tea will definately reduce chances of getting cancer. It will also strengthen the immune system - necessary to fight cancer. It will in no way shape or form remove already existing cancer expecially by itself.

There are a lot of things out there that people say cures cancer - I read a lot about most of them.  There is one in Italy where a doctor injects sodium bicarbonate into your blood stream for 5 days and says it cures the cancer completely.

All I can say is that eating well and exercising and using homeopathic cures needs to coincide with your doctor's treatments as well.

I do know one kid who had cancer for 8 years since he was 13.  When he was 22 he was diagnosed again for the 4th time and he decided he wasn't going to go through the treatments again.  He set out in a van to see the US and really thought he'd die on the trip.  He ended up in California living with some hippies.  The woman was a homeopath and helped him change his entire living habits - he changed how he ate, how he excersized, no longer had any chemicals in his life (cleaned with baking soda, wouldn't go to bars because of the smoke, etc.) and ate only fresh pure foods.  Two years later he came back and his cancer was gone.

I believe the body can do amazing things.  I also believe that most people don't have the discipline to change their lives that much and that most people aren't lucky enough to have the time to do that.  It took 2 years, and lots of cancers would have killed him in that time.  He was very lucky.
