Question:

Possibly a dislocated shoulder or just a strain?

I was at my high school football practice and i'm a wide receiver. I went up to stockblock the corner and wen i got to him i extended my arms and he gave me a big blow. Wen my left arm made contact i felt a decent amount of pain in my left shoulder. Now wenever i move my arm in certain ways my shoulder begins to hurt. Some directions include directly behind or infront of my body. The pain is mostly in the front area of my shoulder. I'm also not able to pick up anything very heavy without pain in my shoulder. I have a scrimmage on Friday and I'm trying to figure out what is wrong. I didn't go see the trainer because the pain went away but later last night my shoulder started to hurt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. i dont think it is dislocated. i had chronic dislocations in my left shoulder and when it dislocated i could not move at all without unbearable pain. sounds like a strain. you should get this checked out anyway.
