Possibly really obscure Home-run statistic?

Has a pitcher ever hit the first home run of a new baseball season (Majors).

You know, like the first game played of the season. Has the first home run ever been hit by a pitcher?

This may be too obscure to even find...

but thanks if you can!

  1. If I had to guess. It would have to be Babe Ruth (He was a pitcher)

  2. If anyone did it, it would probably be Babe Ruth. Babe started as a pitcher, but in 1919 (I think) they changed him to an every-day player because of his bat. You're right, it would be very difficult to search that.
