Ok so my dog cut her ear earlier and my neighbor put neosporin on it on it. Well i later touched her ear to feel it and i just recently touched my retainer and went to go brush my teeth and put in my retainer. I brushed my retainer with toothpaste like i alway do before putting it in. Would my toothpaste kill the neosporin that could possibly be on my retainer or should i worry? Thanks in advance

  1. A small amount of neosporin shouldn't affect you at all.

Killing it?    Neosporin isn't alive, it's not bacteria, it's an antibiotic, designed to kill germs.

Should you be excessively worried, usually the tube will have a phone # or an email address, and you can contact the manufacturer about it.

A girlfriend of mine borrowed my Neosporin to put on an injury on her dog's paw, the dog licked it off several times, and years later he's still alive and well.

  2. No, neosporn is highly tocix. I would call 911 right away and get help, you were right to be worried. I once knew someone who accidently got some in his mouth and died a few days later after serious complicated illness.

  3. Neosporin has aloe vera extracts and isn't considered dangerous.
