Post Accutane side effects? ?

I completed a 6 month regimen of accutane about 2 months ago. I had amazing results: my skin is perfectly clear. During the course of treatment I experienced the typical side-effects... minor headaches, dry skin, chapped lips but.. nothing I couldn't handle.

Now... 2 months later... I have been experiencing frequent headaches, fatigue, and i've been very emotional. This could be totally unrelated to Accutane but the symptoms correlate around the time I finished taking the med.

Has anyone experienced or heard of similar symptoms?? THANKS!

D babe, were you paying attention, he already finished!  I took Accutane when it first came out 25 years ago and had great results.  I personally don't believe the suicide hype around it, or the suicide hype around the anti-depressants either for that matter. Think about it, people who are taking anti-depressants are depressed, and therefore, possibly suicidal. Teenagers by their nature are highly emotional, and more likely to commit suicide, and at the same time are the ones likely to take acne medication.  Coincidence.  That's like eating a cheeseburger and then committing suicide.  Are you going to blame the cheeseburger?  No.  It was coincidence.  But I digress.  You had a question here.  No, I don't think this is related to the Accutane.  I would check with the doctor if the symptoms are bothering you.  Being emotional could just be from fluctuating hormones (whether you're male OR female.)  You could be depressed.  Check it out, don't assume it's the Accutane.

You should never rely on Accutane for acne or any other medical condition! There have been many cases of reported depression and suicidal thoughts... even actual suicides during or after the time during which Accutane was taken. It is a very dangerous and harmful drug!

I do not think it is the accutane but could be some other medical; condition, you should see your doctor. Could be stress related or other issues that are bothering you at this point. hope you get better.

Usually people get headaches and fatigue while they are taking Accutane and not months later.  I really don't think it's the Accutane.
