Question:

Post Office Car Insurance. THEY'RE TERRIBLE?

My Golf's insurance was £1300 and then £1100 after NCD (on international drivers license).I recently found another and its way low. Anyways, I rang PO to cancel on 20th May and lady said their system is showing they will payback £99 (approx) as goodwill gesture since I've been with them for 1.5yrs. I rang them 3 weeks later asking about payback but bloke said they have no such info. I filled complaint form for misquoting and misinforming but no response. Today I got a warning letter saying I have to pay them £19.39 which is outstanding. This came to me as a shock and I will write an official complaint letter as to why PO woke up after over a month and nothing was mentioned when I cancelled my acc. PLEASE guys dont sign up with them if you read, get Quinn Insurance as they're a lot cheaper. But anyone who can advise what route should I take and how to go about this.

Thanks

  1. For auto insurance the best way to get a fantastic rate is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make sure that you choose similar options with the same deductibles, car type, zip code, etc so that all options are a good comparison.

What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have top name insurers and will give multiple quotes on auto insurance polices.

  2. Shhhhhh! they couldnt organise a pi55 up in a brewery!!!!!!

We joined the PO home phone and they havent sent us a bill yet....lol

    since october!!!! pmsl

    in fact we checked ....

our first bill is due in the year 2038 (ish)

    ROFPMSL!

Quinn are a good insurance co.... for get about any money back of the PO... well till 2038 anyhoos!

  3. My suggestion is trying to get as much resource as you can before making final decision, here is a good one.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...

  4. Yeah their asolutley terrible with young drivers, they even tried £1600 on me once! - I pay about £450! Yous should battle it out! - tell them strictly... "i want my £95 or im gonna go to trading standards" - honestly though, if you threaten them legally, they will give it to you, and dont forget - they would think twice about doing it to you! BT have a little experience in that area i can tell you!

  5. firstly i would say pay the request that they are asking you for- i know you dont agree  with them but they could send you to a debt recovery agancy and that will effect your credit score which is not worth it

as for the complaint- i cant believe they have left it so long, call the post office again to discuss what they are doing with your complaint and let them know how you feel wrongly advised,i would reccomend staying really calm as they will just fob you off if your angry or shout over the phone, you get so much further that way, ask for your complaint to be taken further eg to manager or a complaints department (if they have one)

if they dont take you seroiously take your complaint to the fsa they should take it on as you have complained with no responce they will kick the PO up the *** and tey will try and resolve the complaint for you.
