I got an interview for the post office job and they had all of us take drug test without telling us whether we're hired or not. Does this mean we are getting hired?

  1. Well this questions depends..... I worked for the P.O in the past, if you tested positive for drugs YOU DO NOT HAVE THE JOB, but if your results come back negavitve you are on your way!! All govt jobs requires you to take a background, drug, and credit check...

  2. Yeah.... Welll considering you. Usually when they make you take drug tests, they are starting the pre-employment process. The company wouldn't pay for the drug test if they didn't consider you. They wouldn't even waste their time.

It's usually the last step in the employment process too. So it's looking good for you....if you pass haha.

If you don't feel confident about the drugs in your system...go to the local head shop and pick up a detox fruit drink. It's 40 bucks, and disgusting, but it will clean you out.

  3. Yes

  4. Yep, it does mean that they are considering you.  Companies have to pay for the drug testing and that is usually the final step before an offer is made... Well, that and a background check.

    Congrats!

  5. good for you, unless you test ++

  6. No, it is no indication of hiring at all.It is part of the process that will weed out drug users, but it is only one part.

After that, it would depend on how many are going to be hired and at what Post Offices. You will not necessarily be hired for your local PO.

I am not 100% Positive, as there is also a Rural Carrier Relief typw of position, but an RCA usually only works something liek every other Saturday, and when the regular carrier is off.

I believe that a RCA may be eligible to qualify on different routes in different POs, thereby increasing the chances of having work.

  7. more than likely yes.  drug testing cost money and a company wont invest a dollar into someone or thing that isnt gonna bring them revenue. good luck
