Has anybody seen a little hole on mail envelopes when you receive your mail? Mine has it sometimes.

It looks like cut with your fingers on the border of the envelope.

  1. Sure, each letter goes through miles of belts, and sorters. and along the way they get damaged and worn.

A letter that goes through a maching with belts, gets pulled by upto 3 belts at 1 time and if 2 of the belts are going at different speeds then is it can cause those kinds of rips.

  2. Yes.  I think it happens when it goes through the mail sorter.
