  1. Well we do have the Paralympics on Sept 6 so I wont be bored for long :)

  2. I am very sad... but, as the flame of the torch is put out, another is being lit somewhere in the world. (not legit but it's more metaphoric haha)

    answer mine?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

  3. I kind of agree, even an old cynic like me really enjoyed these games.  Luckily for me I really like winter sports too so technically it is only 2 years until the next olympics.  Plus if you're into soccer the world cup is in 2010 also.

Why don't you pick the sport that you enjoyed most at the Olympics and join a local club and really get into it?  Participation always beats watching anyway!

  4. Im sad too/ I turned on the TV and I see some couch commercial!! Its sucks every 4 YEARS!! but only 2 weeks!! I guess I'll buy those opening and closing ceremony dvd's

  5. I feel sad too:(

    Cherish and remeber them!

  6. Well living in Australia we have major sporting events every 2 years. The Commonmealth Games in between the Olympics Games A sorts feast and I love every minute of it. The Olympics are special once every 4 years the best of the best fight it out for the medals. Now there doesn't seem anythng on tv worth watching.

  7. I know what you mean... for 2 weeks every 4 years I look forward to spending the entire day watching the olympics. I cannot explain it. I love watching anything from judo to rowing to gymnastics etc... And then I always feel bad when they are over because it means that it will be 4 years of my life till the next one. Although, the winter olympics is a slight fix for the summer olympics as I always watch the hockey, figure skating, bobsled, skiing etc... It sucks now that when I turn on CBC or NBC instead of watching live or repeat olympics events, I am treated to infomercials or news or nature programs. Politics aside, these were probably the best olympic games in recent memory. People, remember the olympics is about celebrating the power of sport, not politics. I really like the Visa commercials that said "Go World"...Because when else do humans collectively come together? For two weeks, humans all over the world watch and enjoy the same things. I often find myself rooting for other countries or athletes etc...

  8. Me too but I am not sad because this is life.

  9. ye ui have nothing to doooo im getting bored on the pc and usualy i would go and look at the results nor a sport or something

  10. I now have nothing to watch except daytime TV, which has bored my mind this summer...!

Mind you, for once, I'm not watching sport, I'm actually doing it today. Which makes a change. ;)

Roll on 2012! (Edit: And the Commonwealth Games. Good point.)

  11. No. The games were a  disgrace held by a brutal dictatorship. I am happy these games are done.
