Ok. Its Sunday, and tomorrow is a holiday so I have to wait til Tuesday to see my dentist. I had all 4 wisdom teeth plus another molar removed Wednesday. 2 of which were impacted. I am still having a tiny but of blood in my saliva and also my saliva is a little on the yellow-brown side. Could this be from a dry socket or infection or is this normal? Also the site where I had an impacted tooth and the molar next to it feels kinda mushy and I can feel one of the stitches and the stitch feels pretty long like it may have come lose. Is that possible. Any help would appreciated since I can't see my surgeon for 2 days.

  1. Try oral rinses with warm water and salt- 4 times a day.

Use a small amount of salt in the bottom of a glass of water, mix it well, and then swish it around your mouth for 2 to 3 Min's - salt has anti bacterial  like agents.

  2. When i got my wisdom teeth removed every time i touched my gums it bled and stuff, and my spit was always with a bit of blood, well good luck you could try calling the doctor and tell him your symptoms, when i got my operation the game me his personal number for his secretary if i needed any help. The Stitches are supposed to fall off or dissolve it depends how long ago you had your operation.

  3. It is possible for the suture to have come loose. If you aren't in any discomfort its highly unlikely that you have a dry socket. Use some salt water to rinse out and keep the area hygienic. If there is a little blood that is also normal.

  4. the yellow brown in just dried blood, no worry, are you in intense pain? if not it is not a dry socket, it is ok if the stitch came loose, are you doing your warm saltwater rinses 3-4 times daily especially after you eat?  no smoking, no using a straw, put these off for several more days if you are doing them, expect your mouth to be sore for about a week, we took all 4 of my sons wisdom teeth out all impacted and at about a week he was good as new, it is all about how you take care of your sites.are you swollen?  if so call dentist tues, or if you have intense pain, other wise keep on pain meds if given to you or take whatever you take for headache.  good luck
