I'm going to be in France for a couple of weeks. I have stamps from the last time I was there 0.50 euro stamps. Will one of these get a postcard to the us? how about a letter? if not, should i just use 2?

  1. The rate is now 0.85 € for anything up to 20 grams (1.70 € for anything 21 to 50 grams) * so you'll need to put two of your stamps if you want to get rid of them or just buy new ones.

    * Postcards are well under 20g as long as they are A5-sized maximum. Regular-sized envelopes containing 2 A4 sheets are under 20g too.

A4 size is more or less like US letter (slightly longer and narrower) and A5 is half of that.

  2. Why don't you just wait till you get there and ask at the post office?
